Eighteenth Century Ephemera

A friend brought this reproduction ‘petit livre’ home for me from England years ago.    It’s still filled with my garden notes from the mid 1990s, and lovely engravings of deer and sheep filled manors and mansions straight from an Austen novel…

...remember the letter ‘f’ was used the way we use ‘s’, even though it may sound like a lisp in your head!

Check out my new Flickr badge far down in my sidebar filled with my favorite Rococo artists including Fragonard, Boucher, and Gainsborough.   This one is one of my favorites because she has a little Maltese!

Jusqu'à la fois suivante, restez shabby!
