There is a chippy blue-green salvaged ‘counter’ in the charming Lucky Dog store on Main Street in Hamden, NY that took my breath away. It is not for sale. They think it came from an apothecary or other retail establishment because of the long honed marble top and ample storage below.

There are classical motifs all over: swags, bows, egg-and-dart trim.
Imagine this as the focal point of a shabby kitchen.
Lots of useful shelving that could be softened with lace (that’s an upcoming project from my own plain china cabinet).
It would be a very long project, but it could be replicated. If anyone out there ever does it, please share it with me!
Until next time, stay shabby!

What a truly lovely piece. I can just see it in someone's kitchen. Don't you just hate it when you see something wonderful and you're searching for the price tag and you find the dreaded 'NFS' marked on the item.
