My Chippy Shabby Pantry

Every country kitchen needs a pantry.
If I had a real kitchen in my little studio, I’d be certain to have a little pantry for storage.

I don’t care for ‘modern kitchen cabinets’, I prefer larders, butler’s pantries, shelving, and skirted counters.

Original, real, honest chippy paint moves me.

I took out my tools and put in old canning jars with dry goods with pretty labels I printed on regular paper and stamped the edges with my Fiskars punch.    I Photoshoped the French name of the contents on each using Tattered Vintage Sheet # 187.

Les Haricots Pintos – Pinto Beans – are special because my husband and I grew them organically last summer.

Oh, no – out of doggie treats, I’d better get to the store!

‘Till next time, stay shabby! Pin It

I love your little chippy pantry.. I saw the sweet southern bells on the glasses on the top shelf.. It is wonderful that you grew your own organic pinto beans.. I do a garden each year with heirloom seeds so i can keep the original plants going. No Hybrids here... Have a great day.. Sheila

Hi Sandy, I LOVE your blog and check in with you every morning. I am a kindred spirit who lives in New Jersey and works in NYC. It's refreshing to see such a fabulous blog from the north east. The California and Texas blogs are extraordinary but their stores and flea markets are so out of reach. I look forward to your inspirational creations...a faithful reader...

Love your labels, Sandy. I've been wondering - is your main house also decorated in shabby whites?
Hugs,

Ooh Sandy,
I love these, especially the Biscuits de Chien. I really think Zeke should have a beautiful jar/label of those, don't you? Always love it here and the chippy goodness is the best.

Sandy: You have a beautiful blog & it's now the first one I read every day. I was wondering if your 'main' house is decorated in this style? (I'm sure we'd all love to take a peek). You have a gift & I'm so glad you're sharing it with us, your blog 'groupies'. :)

Thanks so much, guys, but you'd have a heart attack if you saw my 'real house'.
It's a total man cave. Hubby and the big dogs rule that one!

We're a peace with 'separate domiciles', if you know what I mean!

Sandy, your home was beautiful, sorry you had to leave it. It seems that your studio may be even more beautiful if that is possible. It has the look and feel that I think all true shabby chicers are trying to accomplish, well done.
