Leisure
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare?
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of scars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

It's beautiful! hx
Beautiful.............love Ria...xxx..
Very pretty~I was looking back through your posts and was interested in the deconstructed chair article you so nicely linked to. A blogger friend and I are trying to decide if it would be in poor taste to have a lovely little whitewashed french chair left in a deconstructed state with vintage shabby chic floral and modern staples...there is something about the old meets new...and still to my eye looks like the examples you have shown and linked to. Your thoughts?
Fabulous image with wonderful writing. Waking up to your post is a great way to start my day. Blessings, Rhonda

Beautiful post, Sandy.

So true. I learned when I had cancer.....that it was important to take the time. Some people always think there will be time later.......sometimes there isn't a later. I am thinking of my cousin that I loved dearly. She was one that you had to schedule in advance for a get together. I had 4 kids and she had none but yet her calendar was always so full. I remember one time telling her that she needed totake time to smell the roses and to do what was important......and she did.
Unfortunately she died unexpectedly last year of H1N1.....exactly one year ago.
Yet another absolutely breathtaking photo, and lovely words to accompany it.
Thank you so much for sharing the beauty that surrounds you, Sandy.
I hope you are doing okay these days and are looking with hope toward your next adventures. :)
Take care,
Susan
