What a GORGEOUS book, what a GORGEOUS Blog! What GORGEOUS decor you do! BREATHTAKING!!!
Any suggestions for us wives who have husbands who don't like this type of decor? I would LOVE to do some of the things you have done, but feel SO limited because my husband is NOT into decor that is feminine. What I have now is more or less 'eclectic', a mix of this and that. I have gone with the darker jewel toned colors, which I like as well, but, I would like to make the decor a tadbit more feminine, but then he complains. It is VERY hard to come to a compromise! My husband was a bachelor till the age of 46! Wow! So he had his own unique style, which included a LOT of his own photography. I have incorporated his photography into our decor, as well. Perhaps I could take our one extra bedroom and decorate it just for 'me'! Go as feminine as I want??!!
I LOVE how you took the blanc color of white, and turned it into a GORGEOUS color! You used LOTS of gathering and puckering of the fabrics, and a LOT of fluff to them as well! My extra bedroom I have is painted yellow. All I would need is to get rid of the bed - although my daughter needs a place to sleep when she comes over, but that is ONLY 'maybe' 5 nights a YEAR! I don't want her to feel left out without a place to sleep, and I'm on a limited budget??? A chair with an ottoman? I don't know? Ottomans are EXPENSIVE!!! There has to be a way to make one! I have an idea! I just need a nice, comfy chair! Then I can use that back bedroom as my own! I could still decorate in white even with the yellow walls, and use the yellow as an accent color. I'm getting ideas now that I am writing this note to you!! Wow!! You are an INSPIRATION!!!! Thank you for ALL these unbelievably GORGEOUS photos!!!
I have also NEVER seen a book SO beautiful as this!!! Wow!! It's one to leave out as a focus point! Sorry about this length of the message! If you have any advice, though, about incorporating more feminine decor with a husband who isn't quite into it, I'd LOVE it!!!

What a nice giveaway! I still have all issues of Victoria magazine and have just started collecting the Jeanne d'Arc living magazine. To have a book combining the feel of both magazines would be awesome. I hope I win!!
